Cheech and Chong Cartoon Coming Soon

How many films can be produced on the heels of the current Cheech and Chong Reunion tour Light Up America?

First, it's reported that the Weinstein Company will produce a concert film to be released sometime next year. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has word that the stoner duo will star in an upcoming animated feature. As of now, it sounds like the film will be a collection of old Cheech and Chong bits in cartoon form, tentatively titled Cheech and Chong's Smokin' Animated Movie.

So...you can either listen to those old bits on record or watch them acted out by cartoons. Not quite as exciting as if the two were doing a brand new feature -- even if it was an animated film -- but fans will have to take what they can get, I guess.
