Great news for fans of Mr. Show with Bob and David! The star of that sketch show -- still the best of all time -- Bob Odenkirk recently said in an interview that he and his Mr. Show partner David Cross are working on a book that will collect several unpublished scripts on which the pair collaborated.
No other details are really available now, except that Odenkirk claims one of the scripts could be turned into a Claymation feature and that the book will also include storyboards. That's it. Will the scripts be for movies that never got shot? Mr. Show sketches that never aired? Chamber dramas for the hard right turn they always hoped their careers would take but never did? No telling. How exciting! Of course, a book of unpublished scripts isn't nearly as thrilling as news of them actually filming one of those scripts would be, but let's take what we can get.
Cross and Odenkirk previously published Mr. Show: What Happened? in 2002, written by Bob's wife, Naomi Odenkirk.
There is currently no title, description or release date for the book, so this is probably all a little premature. Still, you can read the full interview Odenkirk did with the Chicago Sun-Times here.
