Now that Steve Harvey has found success with his gig as host of Family Feud, it only makes sense that another of the Original Kings of Comedy get in the game show business.
Beginning this fall, comedian Cedric the Entertainer will be taking over as host of the syndicated version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? when current host Meredith Vieira steps down. It will be the 12th season of the long-running game show that began airing in 1999, when it became a huge hit running five nights a week on ABC. The syndicated edition has been on the air since 2002.
Cedric has plenty of television experience, dating back to his days in a regular role on The Steve Harvey Show in the late '90s. He had his own short-lived sketch series, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, in 2002, and has even hosted a game show before: 2011's It's Worth What? on NBC. I'm sure he'll add some personality into a job that consists mostly of reading scripted questions and asking "Is that your final answer?"
