Overview:
Important Things with Demetri Martin is a sketch comedy series starring, produced and written by comedian Demetri Martin. Each episode is based around a single theme ("Timing," "Power") with the sketches and jokes loosely built around the theme.
Each show begins with a few minutes of stand-up from Martin performed in front of a studio audience, then segues into pre-taped sketches. Each show also includes a segment where Martin does some of his trademark "easel" jokes and a musical performance.
Though Martin is the only credited cast member, the show has featured appearances by Amanda Peet, John Oliver and David Cross.
