During the astronomic success of his Comedy Central series (which ran from 2003 - 2006), there was no comedian bigger than Dave Chappelle in the 2000s. Then, he mysteriously walked away from the show and all but disappeared from the media spotlight. He may have spent the second half of the 2000s under the radar, but there's no denying that this was the decade where Dave Chappelle really broke out.
